Congratulations to the VADA’s New President

On October 4, 2019, Melissa H. Katz was inducted as the 2019-2020 President of the Virginia Association of Defense Attorneys (“VADA”). The firm congratulates her on this accomplishment and continues to be supportive of this organization which promotes civility and education in the practice of law. The mission of the Virginia Association of Defense Attorneys is to assist Virginia attorneys in the professional and ethical representation of their clients in civil litigation through education, communication and fellowship.

Our firm has had and continues to have significant involvement in this organization with many of our members either serving as past president (John McGavin) or on the Board of Directors, representative of the National organization, Defense Research Institute, Board of Editors of the VADA’s legal journal, chair/vice chair of a legal section, and/or member of the Planning Committee for the Annual Meeting (Julia Judkins, Dawn Boyce, Heather Bardot, Mike Thorsen, Matt Roberson, Anna Zick, Nikki Antolic, Abby Johansen, Angela London, Judson Peverall). Melissa plans to promote education, professionalism, membership, and wellness in her platform.
